Bridging the gap

The seatstay bridges on my frames are cut by eye and by hand.  I draw on a bit of steel bar with a sharpie then have at it with an angle grinder and a selection of files. Every one is slightly different and I probably spend way too much time on them.

It would be much quicker and cheaper to draw one sketch and get them laser cut in a big batch.  But then they would all be the same.

Yes, my way takes longer.  But I can guarantee it won’t be mediocre.

Don’t aspire to mediocrity.
