Whilst mountain biking is our first love we are still partial to a bit of tarmac or gravel. We offer road and gravel bikes on a full custom only basis.

There is reason behind this. For the best road or gravel bike for you the single most important element is the fit. And you don’t get a great fit from studying geometry charts. You get it from spending time with a great bike fitter. We work with Scott Cornish in Chamonix, Foundation Bike Fit in central London and Bicycle in Richmond. We can also find fitters elsewhere if these are too far from you.

If you order a custom Selwyn you won’t get this bike.  You won’t get the same geometry or the same tubes. You will probably choose different parts.  Tony won’t do the same paint job twice.  Even if you ask him nicely.

I am one man in a workshop.  I don’t have a marketing division, sales reps or a social media strategy .  I don’t have a dedicated engineering team or a race division.

I am not interested in market segments or industry trends or price points. I really don’t care what other brands are doing with their batteries or sandwich holes or which bearings they are routing their cables through.

That means I can build the best bike for you.  It may not fit neatly into a market segment and it won’t be the same as mine but it will be the best for you. Designed, fitted, manufactured, painted and built just for you.  Your bike, for where and how you ride.

Because having a bike built just for you is the best.
